Sonja’s kippen - Phoebe Wahl

Sonja lovingly cares for three little chicks. She feeds them, protects them and cuddles them. Wherever Sonja goes, the chicks frolic around her. In her care the chicks grow into hens, and they even give Sonja a wonderful present: an egg! One night Sonja hears noises from the henhouse and discovers that one of her hens has disappeared. What could have happened to it? In 'Sonja's kippen' (Sonya's Chickens), Phoebe Wahl beautifully shows how everything in nature is connected and what it means to care for another creature. Phoebe Wahl also wrote 'Heksje Hazel' and 'Muisjes van papier'.
