Cyanotype

This magical activity is inspired by a photographic process: cyanotype. Using opaque shapes, the child creates scenes on light-sensitive paper. When the paper is exposed to the sun, the shapes appear in negative. Then the paper just needs a rinse in a bath of clear water, and the scene is revealed on a blue background! These creations become the night-time backdrops for the illustrations in the 4 poetic little pictures.
