The Armadillo really is unique with its thick scaly carapace. It covers the whole body, leaving only the pointed nose and eyes exposed. The long nose gives it away: the Armadillo has a keen sense of smell to sniff out insects even when they are buried deep in the ground. It doesn't mind the heat.
