Sales Assistant
Responsibilities
- Engage customers in sales within the store, including assisting with product selection, maintaining tidy shelves, and restocking merchandise.
- Serve as a host for the playroom and events, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for children and families.
- Prepare and clean the playroom before and after sessions, ensuring toys and play areas are organized and sanitized.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including arranging shelves and preparing cleaning equipment.
- Interact daily with families, children, parents, and collaborators, providing excellent customer service and fostering positive experiences.
Skills
- Excellent social skills with the ability to interact warmly and effectively with diverse customer groups.
- Open and communicative, able to listen to customer needs and communicate product information clearly.
- Patient and understanding, especially when dealing with children and families in a busy retail environment.
- Willingness to learn new processes, products, and playroom management techniques.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements and schedules.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work at least three days (24 hours) per week
- Prior experience working with children or knowledge of Montessori principles is a plus.
