Curated with care:
How we choose toys
Share
Not every wooden toy is a Montessori toy. With so many products on the market, we carefully filter through the noise, avoiding items that are confusing, overstimulating, or claiming to “teach everything at once.”
When we choose a toy for Monti’s World, we don’t just ask, “Is this fun?”, we go deeper. Each piece we bring into our store is carefully considered with a few simple but important questions in mind:

What’s the purpose of the toy?
A Montessori-inspired toy should have a clear goal. We avoid overwhelming “all-in-one” toys that try to teach everything at once. Instead, we look for toys that focus on one skill at a time — helping children master it, feel proud, and build confidence before moving on.
What is it made of, and is it durable?
We value natural, safe, and long-lasting materials. A good toy should feel good in the hands, be sturdy enough to pass down, and stand up to years of play.
How does it look?
We believe children deserve beauty. That’s why we seek out toys with a simple, minimalist design — often in primary colors or natural tones. Clear shapes, neat finishes, and uncluttered forms help the child focus, while still feeling enticing and attractive.

Where and how can it be used?
A true Montessori toy is self-sufficient — meaning it teaches all by itself. Your child should be able to explore it, test ideas, make mistakes, and discover the “right answer” without you stepping in to explain every step. This freedom is what builds confidence and problem-solving skills.
Does it balance price and quality?
We choose toys that are well made and fairly priced — objects that offer true value because of their craftsmanship, purpose, and durability.
✨ At Monti’s World, every toy on our shelves has been chosen with intention — to nurture focus, independence, and joy.
